The Black Keys Announce New Album, Tour Dates

A million garage-rock fans pumped their fists in unison and smoked a cigarette as endlessly cool blues-rock duo The Black Keys announced that they will be releasing their sixth studio album this May.

Entitled Brothers, this album comes as a follow-up to their hip-hop collaboration album Blakroc, which is a favorite around the Axiom. Apparently, Carney and Auerbach recorded Brothers in the iconic Muscle Shoals Sound Studio. Muscle Shoals, an old building located in the sparse Alabama town that goes by the same name, has produced recordings from The Rolling Stones, Aretha Franklin, and Bob Dylan, among many others.

The Keys will also be touring to support their album. They goddamn better play somewhere near me.

If you don’t know the Black Keys, you should. They are literally the best live show I’ve ever seen. And I’ve seen a lot of shows.
