Good grief! DJ Danger Mouse is Back.

Well folks, time to grab an extra pair of underwear because it looks like DJ Danger Mouse, a.k.a. Brian Burton, a.k.a. the musical genius behind the iconic Jay-Z/Beatles mash-up The Grey Album, and the production half of Gnarls Barkley has released something new to blow our collective minds. This time, Danger Mouse has collaborated with James Mercer of The Shins to form Broken Bell. While it definitely does have Danger Mouse’s signature sound, it feels a little too poppy for my taste. Nonetheless, that doesn’t mean that you wont like it. If you can’t wait for the official release of the self-titled album on March 9 then hop on over to NPR where, as part of their First Listen segment, they are streaming the entire album free this week (if you want to directly launch the entire album, click here).

Also, I never miss an opportunity to watch Swiss directors Laurent Fauchere and Antoine Tinguely’s Grey Video. Enjoy:
