Wu-Tang Clan Meets the Beatles: Why Not?

Tom Caruana, producer extraordinaire and big boss of the uber-hip Tea Sea Records, just released his latest project: a remix album featuring acapella rhymes from the Wu-Tang Clan layered over novel beats that sample Beatles songs. (Props to Dan and Rachel for the head’s up!)

Entitled Wu-Tang vs. The Beatles: Enter the Magical Mystery Chamber, the album incorporates ryhmes and samples from an array of Wu and Beatles albums. All tracks are available for free download with membership to Tea Sea Records.

The album is interesting, and I like it. But as HQ commented, “It’s no Grey Album.” I’d still recommend checking it out.

Also awesome: the cover art for the album was done by Logan Walters, whose on-going remastering of Wu-Tang album covers in the style of Blue Note  (Reid Miles’s iconic album cover art for numerous influential jazz artist) is one of my favorite current projects.
